Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information
Pema Ö takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect on this website, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Quebec's Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25).
Information we collect
We only collect information that you provide voluntarily:
- Contact form: your name, your email address and the content of your message;
- Newsletter: your email address.
No account is created, no payment is processed, and no other personal data is requested.
How we use your information
Your information is used exclusively to:
- respond to the messages you send us;
- send you our newsletter, if you have subscribed. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link, and subscribing requires your confirmation (double opt-in).
We do not sell, rent or share your information for commercial or advertising purposes.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. A single functional cookie is used: it remembers your language preference (French or English) for your next visit.
Third-party services and hosting
To operate, the site relies on service providers that may process your information outside Quebec, notably in the United States:
- Netlify (website hosting and reception of contact form messages);
- Mailchimp / Intuit (newsletter subscription management);
- Google Calendar (display of our public activity calendar — no visitor data is sent to it).
These providers are subject to their own privacy policies and offer recognized data-protection safeguards.
Retention
Messages we receive are kept as long as necessary to respond and follow up. Your newsletter email address is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may at any time:
- request access to the information we hold about you;
- request its rectification or deletion;
- withdraw your consent, notably by unsubscribing from the newsletter via the link included in every issue.
To exercise these rights, write to us through the Contact page.
Person responsible for the protection of personal information
The person responsible for the protection of personal information is the coordinator of Pema Ö. You can reach them through the Contact page.
Complaints
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Updates
This policy may be amended as needed. Last updated: August 8, 2026.
